How do I start a video chat?
Starting a video chat takes about a minute. Here is exactly what to do.
- Open Joi 1v1 and tap Start (or the camera button).
- When your browser asks, allow access to your camera and microphone — this is what lets the other person see and hear you.
- Wait a moment while we pair you with someone who is online and ready to talk.
- Say hi. When you are ready to meet someone else, tap next to move to a new match.
If nothing happens when you tap start
- Make sure you allowed camera and microphone access when prompted.
- Check that no other app is currently using your camera.
