Can I chat with people who speak another language?
Yes. Joi 1v1 has built-in text-message translation, so a language gap does not have to end a good match.
Some of the most interesting people you will meet are from somewhere else entirely. When you and your match do not share a first language, you can type to each other and the text messages are translated so you can still understand one another.
How to use it
- During a video chat, open the message box and type what you want to say.
- Your text message is translated for the other person, and theirs for you.
- Keep the video going while you chat by text — it is a natural way to bridge the gap.
